Frequently asked questions
Billing, account security, the API, and support — the questions that come up most.
Billing
No. Balance is only debited the moment a verification code actually arrives on the rented number. If the rental window expires with nothing delivered, it cancels automatically and your credits are untouched.
Deposits are crypto-first — generate a deposit address from the Wallet page and your balance updates once the network confirms the payment.
The Wallet page enforces a small minimum per deposit to keep transaction fees from eating into low-value top-ups.
Account & Security
Use the "Forgot password" link on the login page — it emails you a reset link tied to your account.
It authenticates automation scripts against the public API instead of your login session. Generate it from the Profile page — it's shown once, only its hash is stored afterward, so keep it somewhere safe.
Yes, from the Wallet page, once transfers are enabled on your account (off by default as a safety measure). Transfers require the recipient's email and go through instantly.
Using the API
Yes — the legacy endpoint mirrors the sms-activate action/response contract, so existing bots and scripts work with zero code changes beyond pointing at DiceSMS.
Both API surfaces are limited to 120 requests per minute per IP.
The default concurrent-rental limit is 20 per account, visible on your Profile page.
Refunds & Support
The rental expires on its own and no charge is made. You're free to rent another number for the same service immediately.
The Contact page has a direct email link and a form — most messages get a reply within a day.
